As summer progresses, here’s guidance for maintaining wellness during the season when people spend more time outdoors and engage in vacation activities.
Tip 1: Take Care of Your Skin
UV exposure poses risks beyond sunburns, including premature aging and skin cancer. Three protective strategies:

- Timing: Avoid outdoor activities between 10 A.M. and 2 P.M. when UV rays are strongest
Tip 2: Eat the Right Foods
Consume seasonal produce to balance nutrition. The Mediterranean diet approach—combining fresh fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains, and healthy fats—works well. Visit local farmer’s markets to support eating at least 10 fruits or veggies every day.
